Shawn Rhoden, a star in the world of bodybuilding and former Mr. Olympia champion, has died. He was 46.
According to TMZ, Rhoden passed away due to a heart attack. In 2018, he won the Olympia in 2018 – the Super Bowl of bodybuilding competitions – by defeating 7-time Olympia champion, Phil Heath, who’d won it seven straight years. He was also the oldest competitor to win the prestigious title at 43.

Rhoden first got into bodybuilding as an amateur during the early 1990s, where he competed on and off throughout the years. In 2010, Rhoden turned pro, finishing a respectable 11th place in his first Mr. Olympia. The following year, Rhoden finished third.
TMZ reports that in his final social media on Instagram included the caption, “Brick by brick and patience it will take. See you on the other side.”
